Drug Watch: The oral version of semaglutide is now approved for weight reduction, with a maintenance dose of 25 mg daily.
"For patients paying for the oral option out of pocket, the manufacturer is currently quoting a monthly cost of $299 for the 9- and 25-mg doses and $149 to $199 for the lower doses," writes Editor-at-Large Allan S. Brett, MD.
