Στην Σουηδία τουλάχιστον δεν χρειάζεται να γράψεις πολλά σχετικά με κάποιον ασθενή σου στο facebook για να μπλέξεις άσχημα.
Μεταφράζω από τα Σουηδικά στα Αγγλικά ένα μικρό άρθρο που δημοσιεύθηκε στο πιο πρόσφατο τεύχος του Σουηδικού Ιατρικού Περιοδικού ( Läkartidningen ).

A doctor who put out patient details on Facebook is prosecuted.           

IVO (The Swedish Inspectorate for Health Care), prosecutes the private doctor who laid out confidential information about a patient on Facebook.


A woman criticized a private doctor on a Facebook group for having improperly treated a family member up. In a response, the doctor told the woman then that he had a patient with the same name as the woman's family member in his catalogs, and at one time he had referred this person to the hospital for "suspicion of appendicitis«.The doctor has told IVO he thought the comment would not be public and that he regrets his actions. It does not change IVO's assessment. Since the breach of confidentiality is a criminal offense that can lead to imprisonment IVO is required to notify the physician to prosecution, writes IVO in a decision.

Σωστός ο Σουηδός, αλλά θα έπρεπε να ισχύει και αντίστροφα...
